Hello, I wiped my phone with JL Cmder and now it has a 507 on the screen.

Problem is I have downloaded Desktop Manager, installed the OS on the computer, but when I plug in my BB to BBM it says

Blackberry DM can't commnicate with the connected BB device.
(two more lines under that)
then it says RETRY UPDATE CANCEL

If I go update is connects to the device but it says

"a software update could not be found for your device....."

ps, it worked fine before, just wanted to wipe the thing as it was new to me.

Also When I go to

to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

I have no apploader and I haven't found the vender file either.


I bought this thing off ebay from a guy who said it was new from China, I am worried something weird is going on, I have spent all day trying to do this.

Please Help - I am going crazy working on this... I wish I wouldn't have even messed with it.

I am offering a $2 paypal prize to who ever gets the info I need to get it working, ...

Can you confirm its a real blackberry?
Lots of fake blackberries out of china.

Right when I got it i called rim, they said yes..

ITs used but the but new cover and sell it as new, it worked 100% normal before but used. I was worried there was spyware that why I wiped it.

If it was working fine, why did you wipe it?

Also, you're going to the wrong directory, go to:

c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

worried about spy ware on these things from china, they can get all your passwords and stuff.

So now I have deleted the vendor file.

and deleted vendor file, then clicked the app loader and it seems like we are off to the races.

oh ya I had the phone shutting down randomly too... hope this fixes


installing the current version rogers has at blackberry website, hope it is good enough, what you think ?

There's no spyware on the BlackBerry.

It should be "good enough".

I wiped mine yesterday with the JL_Cmder and it came up with the 507 error screen, I then installed new operating system etc and after it rebooted it hadnt wiped it at all lol. I've never had a phone before thats caused me so much stress, im ready to throw it out of a very high window

You are very mistaken. If you've seen the 507 error, then it was indeed wiped.
