Data from BES to SQL Server

Hello All.
I am in the research stage of developing a blackberry application that sends data across a wireless network to a computer running SQL server.
My expectations are the following.
1. The Java application on the blackberry is capable of sending my data to a computer running Blackberry Enterprise Server.
2. The Blackberry Enterprise Server will receive the data and will send it to a specific SQL Server Database (not on the same computer as the BES) and insert the data as a record using an xml / wsdl.
3. The programs interacting will not create any temporary files. The data will be transported from one application to another.
ie. BB -> BES -> xml/wsdl file -> SQL Server
This is ultimately what I want to do, though I realize it is more complicated than this. As I am simply in the research and planning stage at the moment, and don’t currently have the Blackberry Enterprise Server set up, and have never used Blackberry Enterprise Server before, I am looking for any resources or explanations that would explain how the Blackberry Enterprise Server handles incoming data that is not in the form of emails, messages, contacts, which is mostly all I have been able to find out how to handle. And from there I will need to determine how that data can be sent to SQL Server via the xml/wsdl file.
Also if there are any major flaws in any of my 3 expectations, I would appreciate a heads up about it.
Thanks
