In Exchange environment, while Desktop Manager connect with Exchange, how DM knows the address of BES?

I remember is should manually config BES address when using Lotus Notes, but how about outlook?

It pulls the server information out of the SQL database. The DB keeps server hostname(s) along with all sorts of other info.

When you open up the BES Manager you'll see the BES Servers listed there. That is the BES Server Name.

The table ServerConfig in your BESMgmt database tells you this ... if you don't know your way around sql I wouldn't be mucking in there.

Desktop Manager knows it when it connects to the database and sees the data.

talk about me not wanting to acknowledge the question ... not once in the 3 times I read this did I read it as desktop manager. Apparently Lasik didn't do that good of a job for me

Your mailbox knows where your BES is; when you're added to the BES it creates some hidden folder data ... if you fire up a MAPI browser / viewer you'll be able to see this.
