Exclamation Error occurred while receiving Server ID from Wireless Network

The article describes my situation, except for the fact I am using BES 4 for Exchange, not Lotus.

http://blackberry.org/knowledgecente...63085&vernum=0

I had a server crash last night and I lost everything, so I started over and now I cannot get my BES to connect to the SRP. I have had my BES setup and in great working condition since July '05 running on Windows Server 2003 with Exchange 2003.

Since it didn't work the first time, I tried installing it on another server which resulted in the same problem. So I tried yet another server which made no difference. Have they locked out my SRP ID for trying to install on 3 machines? How can I have them unlock it if they transfer my call to Nextel every time?

I bought my BES off eBay for $500 and now when I call the RIM technical support, it warns me that if my Blackberry or BES was purshased more than 30 days ago, that I need to have a CC ready (bull*hit), but it doesn't even let me talk to anyone there, when I enter my SRP ID, it says my product is supported by Nextel which then transfers me to their unhelpful support personal which would not give me any answers without a Nextel account.

Please help!

Who you got the BES off is irrelevant. However, if the SRP has been disabled for some reason, you need someone with a TSupport code to get to RIM to unlock it unfortunately.

I'm betting you probably already have this fixed. However I'm sure there are ways to talk to someone at RIM Tech Support without entering your SRP ID. They shouldn't charge you to reset your SRP ID.
