Do you have a BB data plan?

Which browser are you using?

Do you have an 8300 series device (since you posted in that section) or an 8520 as per your post? Please update your profile to indicate the model number of your device rather than the name. There are several different Curve versions and they are different.

If you did not install Operamini or anything then you are using the default blackberry browser.

First check what is shown next to your signal strength icon, is it GSM, gprs, edge, etc. If it is GSM then you won't have internet.

To have GSM changed only your network provider can do that, they activate data on your account or by you requesting them to activate data on your line ot by sending some commands (that I think include the register now command) or sometimes if you have an old-stone-age SIM card you just have to have the card changed.

To open the browser you just click on the Browser icon. Are you doing that and what message/error if any are you getting? If you check each and every icon and you can't see the Browser then you need to "register now" to get service books.

Now did you click on Register Now?

And what happened or happens on the signal GSM?

If you have something other than GSM that means you should be able to go onto internet but if you can't see the Browser icon then take your phone to the network provider and have them send you service books.

When grps, edge, is showing wiith Opera mini you will only have to change the TCP setting to the APN value for your network. Otherwise just take your phone to your network provider.

I hope this is relevant to your network and phone model as this posting area is only for 8300 curve.
