I have a user who is having problems listening to voicemails that are delivered to his Blackberry in a wav format, he gets no audio. If he forwards them to me I am able to open them fine. We both have Bolds with 4.6.0.167. One difference that I have noticed is that he is prompted whether he wants to preview or download the file, on my Bold it opens the file automatically without prompting for this.

Is anyone aware of a problem that could prevent playback of a wav file? He receives significantly more email than I do, but I wouldn't think he would be causing any memory usage problems.

did you check if he has a working media player? do other formats (i.e. mp3, midi) able to play?

He is able to play some of the .wav voicemail messages, it is only certain ones that are failing. The Bold has a working media player pre-installed.
