Default Can not downgrade the BB OS

Please Login to Remove!

The OS 5 works fine but I need the MDS services and the OS 5 not included any more. So, I need to downgrade to 4.6.

I already delete the OS 5 version from my Pc and the Desktop manager doesn't show me the 4.6 OS version to downgrade. I already delete all the previous version of 4.6 and reinstall my last version of 4.6 and delete the vendor file and I can not downgrade my BB bold.

Any hint to do to downgrade?

open the file loader.exe instead of using desktop manager to downgrade your os.

That is because you have two oses installed. Uninstall everything blackberry related and then download the os and double click loader.exe

i have been trying to downgrade my os too. this is what i found out: DM 460 will not downgrade os 500. you need to use DM 500, uninstall os 500 and install os 460 instead then you can downgrade os 500 to os 460 and finish the job. it worked for me.

I had a problem with some apps not working with the latest OS and had to downgrade back to 4.6.There may be an easier way to do it but this is the method I used.

On your computer go to control panel/add remove programs and remove OS 5

Download and install OS 4.6 onto your computer.

Make a backup of your BB then wipe with JL_Cmder

On your computer navigate to my computer\drive c\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader.Once you are in that folder delete the "vendor xml" file, then click the icon called "loader.exe"and install OS 4.6.

Restore your BB with the backup made earlier in this process.
