There is no "Blackberry Configuration Check"
could you be more specific as to what program you ran and where you got it from?

can you send the application to me?
I was trying to figure out why I can't find it. It's not part of the standard install.

The BBCheck utility was not publicly posted when I left RIM a few months ago but it does exist and don't worry if it doesn't display all the information, it hasn't been perfected yet.

One-way calendar not working from BB to Outlook is a BES issue. The fixes have all been listed here already.

Typically cdo.dll is a lower version on the BES then the Exchange server. To confirm just search for cdo.dll in the BES MAGT log, if you have multiple either one will do. That will show the registered file location and version. MAKE SURE it is not lower than the Exchange if so apply the appropriate EXCHANGE service pack or just copy it from the Exchange server and register it in the Exchsrvr\bin folder.

If cdo is not the issue then it is most likely permissions. The BESAdmin account CANNOT be a domain admin or an admin of any kind. This revokes the Send As permission used to for Calendaring. The BESAdmin can only be in the built-in admins when the BES is installed on a Domain Controller, that's the only exception. If the BESAdmin is not part of any admin groups then check for the Send As permission in Exchange System Manager. Verify it is set at the server, mailbox store and public folder store levels.

It has to be one of those, that is what the Calendar relies to function properly.

Review this BB article for the issue, it has everything listed here:

mbridges86 - You stated that you installed the BES on XP. This is a no no, the BES is designed only for Windows Servers OS's. I'm willing to bet that you didn't mention that when you talked to RIM support, they would have had you install it on a proper OS before troubleshooting. Is the Calendar working at all? If so, which way is it not working? read the above article for help.

Default calendar synchronisation issue

Hi guys,

"confirmed cdo.dll registered at c:\program files\exchsrvr\bin"

How can you have a exchange folder on your BB server? Did you install Exchange system manager on your BB server?

Thanks for your help

The problem is with your exchange rights. I did just about everything on one of my accounts and found out that by providing higher elevated rights to the BES account on the user's mailbox security and AD security I was able to create appointments and modify appoitments on the BB device. Changes were synchronized ot the user's mailbox.

This was a very frustrating issue to work with, but in the end it was exchange.

I still have trouble with my freakin calendar!

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: BlackBerry Messaging Agent SERVEUR Agent 1
Event Category: None
Event ID: 20216
Date: 12/5/2007
Time: 11:47:46 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVEUR
Description:
} Synchronize() failed: ERR_FAIL, Tag=3298

I did that and re-activated the wireless calendar sync:
set-mailboxserver xxx8220;<messaging_server_name>xxx8221; | add-adpermission xxx8211;user xxx8220;BESAdminxxx8221; xxx8211;accessrights GenericRead, GenericWrite, ExtendedRight xxx8211;extendedrights Send-As, Receive-As, ms-Exch-Store-Admin

Does anyone know what to do with that?

This would also happen if you installed BES while logged on as a user other than the BES Admin account.

Calendar synch issue could be as simple as changing your DEFAULT SERVICES for Calendar under Options

Here is excerpt from BB Site (pg 7 of pdf at na.blackberry.com/eng/deliverables/3963/Release_notes_45_final_405131_11.pdf

Refers to 4.5 but I've since upgraded to 4.7 and had same issue... and, thankfully, same fix

Known issues
This section lists known issues for BlackBerry® Desktop Software version 4.5 bundle 16.
Synchronization
SDR 167492 Your device uses a default calendar, which is the first calendar configured by your device.
This also applies to multiple address books on your device.
1. In the device options, click Advanced Options.
2. Click Default Services.
3. Change the Calendar (CICAL) field.
4. Press the Menu key.
5. Click Save.
Now synchronize again.

What solved my issue was, in ESM=>Exchange Server=>Properties=>Security my Authenticated Users were being 'denied' Receive As/Send As rights. Once i unchecked this it was X-Mas in July!
