Default New T-Support Pricing

Please Login to Remove!

Has anyone else had a problem with the new T-Support pricing? I just tried to renew our T-Support contract and instead of paying around $600.00 for a T-Support contract it will now cost us thousands of dollars because of the per device requirement. Customer Service said this took effect Late 2005. We withdrew our renewal! Any comments?

Angry Correction no longer required.

Forgot about the edit feature. I was just flabergasted at the additional cost for to renew my T-Support. Seems to me they are pricing their T-support in a way that penalizes BES owners with hundreds of devices connected. This will make Windows Mobile 5 with Exchange 2003 SP2 even more appealing. I believe this was a big mistake on their part. To raise the price from hundreds to thousands of dollars for T-support?

Markerman, this has been discussed many times on this board. you can do a search to see other's thoughts. I don't know how you went from "hundreds". T-2, prior to the new pricing was $3600 per BES. Now, it is $600 per bes and $25 per device with breaks with more devices. While I don't agree as it costs us much more, RIM's take is smaller deployments now can pay less so, if you only have 20 Blackberries, for instance, you pay $1100. that is much less than the $3600 you used to pay. Now if you have lots of BBs, then you start getting Penalized. It is kind of like people think we should do with taxes. If you make more you should pay a higher percentage. With the new pricing, we would have had to pay almost $12,000 for two BES. I think it is outrageous but we feel we want the security of T-Support. Now, at least for this yeae, we aren't paying $12,000. All i can say is negociate!
