I had the same when trying to EA on two new Bold 9700s. Something to do with OS 5.0? I pressed the reboot button - and nothing happened. Had to do a battery pull then....After the reboot, nothing happened - so I went in to EA again, typed in the email address (no password this time) - and it completed the EA....

Exact same on both the Bolds - strange!

this sometimes occurs due to software configurations or when permission settings change.

Yeah the two Storm2's I activated just today re-booted. It tells you it is going to re-boot and it picks right back up with the activation. I see nothing wrong with it.

There is a known issue with devices which run handheld code 5.0. The issue occures when content protection is enabled via the IT policy.

When enabled the device will display a prompt advising that a restart is required. If the device is restarted prior to the completion of the activation then the device may not restart the activation process.

If you do not enable device encryption via your BES IT policy, this should not affect it.
