Has anyone had a problem charging the 9900 in car?

My regular charger which works on my Curve 8900 and my wife's Samsung Galaxy will not work with the 9900. When I plug it in the clock comes one but not electricity symbol shows up on the battery. A message then appears to say that the usb wire can't charge it.

Anyone know of a solution?

My Sprint car charger works fine on my 9930. Try a new charger?

What brand is your regular charger, is it an original BB charger offered by RIM? If so, it's probably got some issue, as my BB chargers from the past few years all work on my 9900. If it's not an original BB/RIM charger...replace it with one that is.

I have run into the same problem with my car USB charger - I had a Curve 8900 which was charging fine. - but now it does not charge the 9900. I saw somewhere that it requires minimum 750ma of power.

Yep. Same thing here. I used to use a generic Micro USB to Standard USB cord plugged into a Belkin USB Cigarette Lighter Adapter for other phones but when I got the 9930, no dice. I had to buy the following at Verizon which works fine. I'm sure there are other RIM approved cords that supply enough mAH output though.
