Slight issue – I have had my unit since before it came out but haven’t had the time to install the Bridge until last night (14 hour work days will do that..) I ran across an issue that I am unsure if there is a resolution: I Connected my BB 9650 (running 6.0..0.431) tied to the Playbook and Bridge and went downstairs to get something to eat – when I came back up – maybe 5 min, the Playbook was completely dark (black screen) and was synchronizing with my BB. No matter what I did I could not get the screen back on. Tied holding down power button etc. Question: is there a way (either 3 finger salute) or a small hole PIN reset that I am missing to get the Playbook to reboot? Due to us being part of a Military Environment, we cannot use Desktop manager. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You can press both the volume buttons and the power button(all three at the same time) and hold them for about 15 seconds.

I thought the reset was to press and hold the Power Button for 15 seconds or so....

I tried that - for more than 15 Seconds and no joy - will try Zombie's suggestion and let you know.

From what I have been seeing both are considered correct.

No, holding the power button for 5 seconds will turn off the power, bypassing the Power Off/Restart. Though if you like you can choose one of those choices.

Holding the three buttons for 15 seconds is the same as Alt-Sh-Del on your device.

I'm, sorry did your really mean "hold the three butons for 15 Minuutes"??? i am not sure i have the strength to do that!

The same happened with my playbook when I tried to reset ... holding the 3 buttons at the same time worked -- doesn't seem that intuitive... but thanks for the insight!

I have had my PlayBook plugged into everything I can find all day. It will not take a charge, I think. I have read all the above and I have tried the 3 finger salute to re-boot. nothing has worked. It will not turn on and it will not re-boot. I suspect because it won't take a charge. It once blinked red a few times but now does not do anything at all. dead. anchor. If these guys want to compete, they should make a product that works. this is my second PlayBook. The first one never did turn on. HELP!!
