I have been using the Pearl for 7 months, but wanted the flexibity of a 3G modem for travel so I have one of those also. I am curious to know if I can use the same DM , I know I obviously cannot use the same OS but to load appa can I use the same DM.

Yes, you can use your current DM with any BlackBerry device.

If you're on BES make sure that if you connect the non BES device you click no when it asks you if you want to associate with the new device. Otherwise you'll move the BES activation over to the non-BES device.
