Hello everybody
Newbie here. I got a Curve 8330 , I'm pretty happy with it, had it for a month already. Not happy with memopad, I find it weak in comparison to the Palm memo app. I just came from the Palm world, years of using their PDAs and cellphones. I don't like that my memos in the blackberry are kept in application memory, instead of letting me keep them in the folder of my choice in the SD card.
I've tried BBnotepad and Actionpad and they let me do this, but they only create memos in the .txt format. Can any of you veteran power users suggest a memopad replacement that has a little bit more power and choices to it?
I will reluctantly buy eOffice for $30 if that's what it boils down to. Docs To Go for BB is a little bit too much at $70.
I will appreciate your replies.

Why not upgrade your phone OS to version 4.5 and use the basic version of Documents to Go which comes free with 4.5?

Yeah, actionpad is free while it's in beta right now. The website is S4BB.com if you're interested. Like I said before, I don't really see an improvement over the integrated memopad, it's the same limitations, in my opinion.

Hello Mama
When I got the BB, it had 4.3 on it, after a week or so I upgraded to 4.5. Then I had a reg# for the bundled Docs To Go but I didn't have an icon, I didn't actually have it. So I went to DataViz website, they gave me a link to download, but the link reports "we don't have a download for this link". So I'm out of luck with DTG.

You need to go into the Application Loader in BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your computer and install it from there.

Is there anyway to change the memory location for memo pad to the memory card not the device?

Nope. Any in any case, the BB database files (where memos are stored) aren't directly readable anyway.
