Default Tour Reception

Does anyone have issues with reception with the Tour on Sprint? I upgraded from the Curve and never had reception issues. When I'm at home I rarely get 2-3 bars and constantly get bad reception or dropped calls. Data is another story. I never had these issues with my curve. Is there a fix for this? I was thinking about getting the airave device however I don't think I should have to spend $100 + $5/month for reception issues I didn't have to begin with until I upgraded. This is really starting to annoy me and my family as we can't consistently use our phones at home.

What is your OS. Go to options-about.

My Tour has done better with 5.0. I am also using a network extender in my house

I upgraded the phones to OS 5.0 and we still have the issue. It may have helped just a little but we still get dropped calls often. Most often when we're downstairs. Is your network extender the airave?

My reception actually got worse with the OS .0 upgrade. I got no reception in my office with my Curve. I got my Tour a couple months ago and switched to automatic A while at work. My reception was great. Now that I have OS 5.0, my reception is very poor using Automatic A & B. Bummer!

I never got a network extender. Sprint wanted to charge me $100 for the airave + $5/month for the service, which I thought was unfair.

If you call sprint and ask for their retention dept. and explain to them you have bad reception in your home they may sen you the Airave at no cost and wave the monthly fees. Thats what they did for me anyway. Good Luck.
