Default Internet on my Pearl randomly stops working

Please Login to Remove!

My cellular service is fine (like text and phone)

but sometimes my internet will stop working all together and I have to do a battery pull to fix it.

3rd Party apps I have installed:
Pacman
Chronograph
Opera Mini 4 Beta
SoftReset
BBWeather
Google Maps
Gmail

It started doing this about a week ago. It could be Opera Mini 4, but that wouldn't make sense, cuz it shouldn't block internet for the rest of the phone.

Wats goin on?

Maybe an OS Restore would fix this? I don't want to do that though.

What should I do?

What do you mean my "stop working"? Any errors...just timeouts?

It is as if I didn't have any internet. Bb messenger doesn't work, my emails don't work, bb browser doesn't work, opera mini doesn't work.

And now it's weird, I can't log in with my facebook. It says invalid password, even though I know for a fact that it is the right password. Or does BB caputolize the first letter even though it's not a text field?

That is strange. When the pearl starts acting weird it's either gotten wet or your low on memory....

Menu>options>status

How much free memory?

Wow. You memory is fine. You may want to wait for others to chime in. I am puzzled here. Are you sure you have full data connectivity when it happens. EDGE vs. edge vs. gprs?

I'm not sure, but don't ALL of those have some data connectivity?

No they don't:

EDGE = RIM Email, Internet, SMS and phone (Connected via RIM Servers)
edge = Sporadic Internet, sms and phone (Connect but not on RIM Servers)
GPRS = Sms and phone only (AT&T only but faster that gprs)
gprs = sms and phone only (AT&T only)

You should put off topic questions on a new thread in the future. To show programs is ALT+Esc.

This happens to me every now and then..
It happened with my old phone also (Nokia) and the only way to fix it was to restart the phone.

Ya same prob here its gotten to the point where I expect to do the soft reset at least twice a night I'm on my phone a good 5 hours a night or day while I'm at work. Heh if I get a good job in my machine I get some good sit down time heh. Here's a few more probs I've had to go with the same prob. If I go on this video site I know of I can download full 10 min movies to my phone usually about 2000 kb to 4000kb big and it stops on me a lot when I do this I have bout a 60 to 40 percent success rate doing this. Soft reset is my best friend lol. Now when I had my Ngage it did this to me also which leads me to believe it would be a prob with the provider I have tmobile in America not sure if its relavent but it may help someone to figure this out. And another thing I found is when I first got opera mini if my connection died on the BB browser I could switch over to the opera browser and click on anything to get the connection going again and it would kick start the BB browser so to speak and then it would work again. For a little while weird I know but it did. And all the while I had EDGE showing at the top of my phone. So I dunno now you techys got a little bit more info on this prob. I called tmobile on this and they had no idea what it was. They told me to get a new phone lmao easy way of not answering my prob heh.

This is the way the phone is, I used to use the pearl all the time and it freezes a lot. It's not as much with the lastest firmware, but it still does it from time to time

Default AT&T is having issues

The IT guy at my job has been going around asking everyone if they are having problems with their blackberries. The issue has to do with AT&T messing up the service books. He has been in contact with AT&T customer support all day. Still waiting on a fix.

nonsense. they all have data. EDGE uses the same Time Division Multiple Acess frame structure, logic channel and bandwith as GSM. Its just much faster.
