There are suggestions, for increasing the amount of free memory, on the site.

Try the search.

The newer op systems seem to get the job done with less memory. If your not up to the newest software, try upgrading.

OK than how can you load more than 4 apps? Old phones you could put stuff on the storage card. My Storm2 came with a 16GB card. How can I put apps on it?

I have 15 apps loaded on my 9700. Not sure why you only have 4. What applications do you have loaded, and how much free memory do you have (Options / Status will tell you).

I have 110MB free, but I have a 16BG that is not being used. Why? 110MB dont seem like much left when the total that was available on memory bar says 256MB. I have 4 apps and have 1/2 my available memory left. How can I access my card? thx

You are neglecting to take into consideration that the operating system and system applications go into the 256mg. The 16gb MEDIA CARD is for media. Not applications.

110mb is plenty of free space. Load more apps. The media card is for media.

OK, I have a Storm 9530 and I have 4 third party apps (Bolt, Google Maps, ScoreMobile, & WeatherBug) and I only 5.2mb of application memory available. There is nothing I can do to increase this?

Yes, it should not be that low.
delete SMS and email sent and received that you dont need.
clear out the browser cache
clear out the phone call log
then do a battery pull and tell us how much.

make sure you dont leave those 4 apps running when your not using them.

And make 100% that you have no pictures, ringtones or movies on the device itself - they MUST be on the microSD memory card.

Thanks Midnight...I never realized you could clear out the Browser Cache...I have over 400 cookies too, what will happen if I delete those as well?

Did that (well I am not sure how to delete the browser cache but I deleted the history) and I now have 20mb.

Open the browser
menu
options
Cache Operations (i think its called, I forget)
and click on each button that has clear next to it.
Once there is nothing more to press, all is cleared.
