Wow - 5.0.0.591 stole my battery.

I can normally go 36-48 hours without a charge. Picked my phone up off of the charger with 4.7.1.61 @ 6AM today. By 8:30 I was plugged in via USB upgrading, and was still on the cable @ 1:00pm due to some issues enterprise activating. So I'm off the wire for less than 5 hours now, and I'm down to 10% battery.

There are some other annoying issues (the new call log is pretty terrible) but nothing compares to the battery drain.

I guess I'll give it another day before I revert back to 4.7

I was on the leak .591 for a few days before the official. First day was awful. It has been fine since.

What I suspect is that after enterpise activation, there is a lot of data being moved for new settings, etc. even after the activation says it is complete. Plus, I am not so sure the software reads the battery level right until it is down and then recharged. I have no complaints now. Been off the charger since 6:30 this AM (other than the upgrade - 25 minutes) and I am at 60% and I have been playing with PTT all day!!

Upgraded this morning and after a few resets to my apps ( the allow had to be redone on Garmin Maps, and Skype etc) all seems to be well except the voice dial and the phone levels are lower and can not be made much louder. Anyone having this issue ?

I updated OTA today. I'm on BES with full device encryption and it worked flawlessly. It took around an hour for the entire upgrade.

I tried accessing the Wireless Update option from my settings, and that didn't work. It says no updates available. I don't feel like doing it off my mac, is there another way for me to access the update OTA?

Thanks!

OTA will work on BES if your administrator has it set to allow it. If your BES was set up with default settings, it will NOT work.

Did anyone else notice a big drop in file free after upgrading? Before the upgrade with 4.7 I averaged 90-98 mb file free. Since the upgrade it's dropped about 40 mb.

If you have downloaded OTA, you should be able to go back in to options>wireless upgrade and delete the old OS files. That should boost your memory back up.

i actually gained free space on mine. i went from 70mb up to 94mb free. no problems with the new os. i like the new layout. pretty solid and everything seems to be running a little smoother now. my battery time hasnt gone down. just make sure you close your applications and not just exit out of them and leave them running in the background

Can anyone verify which version of BBM this release has? .65 or .66 like the leaked version, or did it revert back to .57?

I don't see any option to delete old OS files. Where is that or how to you get there?

.591 is .591. It makes no difference whether it's "leaked" or "official." It's the same thing.

Default No convenience key lock

So it sounds like some others are still able to use a side convenience key to lock the keyboard, this option disappeared for me. If anyone knows how to get it back, please let me know. While using the top lock button isn't terrible, it's just not how I like to use the phone.

Yes, I noticed that my phone volumes are much lower than the previous version. I used to run my Bluetooth (Jawbone) at about 60% volume and now I'm at 100% volume and still need more. Is there any options that I'm missing?
