Default Domain/Company Merger/Change

I work for a relatively large law firm and we are about to merge our domain and company names with another firm; what are the best practices for prepping the BES server for the name change without too much affecting the BES users?

Yea, I'm just nervous honestly... I did not realize that I would be playing a part in all of this... Company Mergers is not a normal practice for me..

Default Things that I've known to be difficult to change

Off the top of my head: the BES service account, the BES service(s) instance name(s) (the names of the BlackBerry servers as they appear in BlackBerry Manager, as opposed to the Windows server name), the configuration database.

So if there's anything in your migration that would make it difficult to keep any of the above, it's a good idea to find out now.

Hope this helps you.

Hey man, the BES merge is the minor of your problem!!!...
If you use BES whit Exchange, first most resolve the migration strategy for Exchange, then how you integrate the BES Server.
If the two enterprise is using BES, the simple way is conserve the two BES running.
For migrate BES user from one server to another you need to re-synchronize the BB device.... a large task!!.
