Default After browsing the web for a short period, data drops

Please Login to Remove!

While I surf the web for a bit, eventually I'll try to load a page and it won't load anymore. This tends to happen after about 5 minutes of web usage. All data stops working on all applications, and the only way to get it back is to do a hard reset. This is pretty annoying when I want to surf the web and I have to deal with hard resetting it every 5 minutes (and wait 2-3 for it to come back up).

Next time it happens I'm going to check the available memory, but do you guys have any suggestions? If it's a memory issue, is there any way to free up the memory without hard resetting? Any other possible causes? I use Opera MINI for browsing.

Sounds like a caching issue, but I am not familiar with Opera.

we need a little bit more information on your set up. What OS do you have, have you cleared the cache, does the same thing happen with the default browser, etc. at least for me, OM has had issues with OS 4.3 and although i didnt have data dropping, i did have connectivity issues in OM.

I'm running 4.3.0.60.

I don't know how to clear the cache, but what happens is I'm browsing, and I have 1XEV connection (Verizon). After about 5 mins of browsing, I lose the data part of the network, And it drops to 1x/1X. I never noticed it happening when I used to use the built-in browser, but I really don't like the built in browser. Once the connection drops, there's no way for me to get it back without doing a hard reset.

There have been upgrades since that OS. I recommend updating your OS. Here's the latest:

So if I already have the latest version of DM, all I have to do is download that one file to run the update?
