Default MDS Is Push Server: False, Quick explain please!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Fairly new to BES.

Can someone please just explain what the difference between enabling making the MDS server a push server or not.

MDS Seems to work fine with push server off.

What do I gain / loose with making it a push mds?

Thanks in advanced.

The MDS Push service is for pushing data to a BlackBerry.

An example is if you had CRM application running on a BlackBerry that gets a feed from the CRM server for updates. The CRM server would send the data to the BlackBerry MDS and the push server would push the data to the user's BlackBerry.
