Default 7520 unplug problem & Warning

Please Login to Remove!

Has anybody figured out the magic combination so that when disconnecting your sync cable the wireless doesn't go to NXTl? It seems so damn random!

I know that several people say to just turn off the wireless. But on my unit it takes up to ten minutes for the wireless to turn off some times. That is unacceptable! I then have to take out the battery to get it to work again.

WARNING - do not buy a 7520 until RIM fixes this issue. It's absolutely rediculous that they can't fix this problem.

Default 7520

I have had mine for several weeks and have had no issue. I am running DTM V3.6 on my work PC for sync, and DTM V4.0 on my home PC to load applications. V3.6 won't load apps.

I generaly shut down the DTM prior to disconnecting, no issues.

I have had my 7520 for nearly seven months and I have not experienced what you are talking about when I disconnect it doesnt go anywhere. Now when I reboot sometimes it takes abit to come back up. Its not the fastest but I have had worse..

I have had this problem with after sync that it goes to NXTl. I stopped syncing everyday to avoid this, as I found that the only way to go back to normal is to take batteries out for a hard reboot. It took several times of this happening to figure out that the problem was occuring after syncing.

Sorry guys if this post is irrelevant somewhat but feel good that at least your DTM works. My home PC would fail to detect my BB despite having manual detection in connection manager. At work, I have no problems. I'v econducted a clean uninstall (via RIM's instructions of reg key removal and such) and reinstalled with no success. My PC detects a device connection via USB but DTM fails to be 'connected'...again despite having connection manager detecting a unit in the USB port.

It happens randomly but I guess it's worth the trouble to turn off the radio when using app loader. I haven;t had this problem with basic synching yet.

We are experiencing the issues of the wireless locking up after syncing with DTM 4.0 and our 7520's on Nextel. There are 4 BB's in our office and all due it randomly after we sync with outlook. Very frustrating since it requires a full reboot by removing the battery and re-inserting.

having the same/simlar issue on my 7520 after rebooting the will hang on the NEXTEL screen though if you press the and ESC it will come off the nextel screen where they normal desktop is and go to the taskbar but as soon as you selcect something in the taskbar its back to the NEXTEL screen. this is turning into a real issue as I install software and as you know most installs require a reboot which means i cant install at work due to being down for long periods of time.

try cleaning out your phone logs and direct connect logs now that i do that daily or everyother day mine reboots much faster

do this by alt-p and alt-d from the message screen
