Default Streaming music, music ID, etc. free with BB unlimited data plan?

Please Login to Remove!

I realize the BB unlimited BIS plan ($29.99) allows unlimited web browsing and e-mail. Does that also apply to the streaming music feature, music ID, etc. listed on my home screen?

I have several icons that say 'shop media', 'shop themes', 'shop tone', etc. and those are charged to my bill on an as-purchased basis right?

Yes becareful. All the carriers have those lovely links to music & they DO charge you. I'm not so up on any streaming, but if you find a service the data should be covered in your unlimited plan. Playing, finding the right stream, saving to sandisk are all other questions I'd also be interested in.

Not sure e.how good the sound will be as EDGE data rates aren't much better than dial up in most places.

What is the site/service where I can listen to streaming radio on my Curve with EDGE? I know it can handle 56k streams easily, my SDA was doing great with slow T-Mo network, so Curve should do it fine.

And does the native media player stream music, if so which formats?
Thanks!

The built in media player doesn't support streaming media. There is another app called mediaPlayer from Dollars5 on this forum that does. It doesn't work that great for me, but you can give it a try. A search for mediaplayer in the Aftermarket software forum will bring it up.

Dollars5' program doesn't steam XM radio, yet.

This will sound cheap, but isn't there a free alternative? I am not sure if I wanna pay $$ for spotty working streaming radio. :(
