Default CC Admin on Enterprise Activation E-Mail?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

Anyone know if BES 4.0 on Exchange can be configured such that when a user is added and the Admin sends the activation e-mail, the mail is CC'ed to another account? After I activate a device I log into the user's mail account to grab the password, but would rather not do this, particularly when the user is one of our company's principals.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Ciao

I thought this was a feature needed in the BB Manager as well - I added this into BerryStats so you could copy another user (or set of users, separated by semicolon) when performing an activation. Far as I know, I don't believe that this can be done in the BES database or Manager utility.

Just set your own password manually.

In the BB Manager application, you can select the 'Set Activation Password' option, and set a password manually here (in addition to timeout period - 4.1 and up). The downside is that it will not generate an email, so you will need to create a generic Activation email, pop in the password, and forward it out to your user.

Until BerryStats, I did just that. I saved a generic email with instructions as a signature in Outlook so I wouldn't have to type it every time. All I had to enter in the email is the password I set. Then I could email it to whoever I wanted.
