Uhh, no, your unit is about two generations too old to work on your home wireless network. In fact, at this moment NO BlackBerry will do that, but there are new ones being introduced in the first half of 2007 that will.

With regards to AIM, I don't use it so can't answer your question. I know I've seen it discussed here though - suggest you try searching on "AIM" with the forum search.

Actually the BlackBerry 7270 released some time ago will work with 802.11b enterprise networks and SIP if I recall? SoHo WiFi you'll have to read the specs further.

There are in fact Blackberries that access WiFi, but from what i've been told, they are only available for special order through corporate reps... they're designed for Doctors and medical workers who can't have cell phones in the hospital.
