I'm thinking of buying a headset for my 7100i and I have been looking at the Moto H700 is this a good unit ?? or is there another unit I should look at??

I think that is a good one, I have the H500 and really like it, too. There are dozens of reviews of BT headsets on the forum here, you might other opinions and options.

I think it's all depends on what model of the phone pair with the H700.

I have a pearl, it sounded pretty decent for the first couple weeks. after that it sounded not so clear and static a lot. Even though the boom was closed, it kept on connecting to my phone on and off all the time, but when I really wanna connect it, it doesnt work, I have to manually connect in the Bluetooth setting.

However, my gf is pairing her Nokia with the H700, it works flawlessly. No static or whatsoever.

I have the Plantronics 320 and it works great, paid $29.99 for mine.

Check out the Jawbone also. I have tried many headsets before, but the Jawbone is the first one I have ever really liked.
