No.
Free apps are available on BlackBerry App World and on mobile.blackberry.com

No hacking or jailbreaking or whatever.

As NJ stated, it can't be hacked. You're referring to jailbreaking. And that can't be done on the BB either.

Almost right ...

thx for the answers..

but when u say it cant be hacked, do u also mean it will never be hacked?

will there be possible hack exploit of some kind in the future?

and i can afford apps, i just think that 90 percent of them are too pricey for their utility value.

I don't think anyone has perfected how to look into the future yet, so how the heck would anyone know the answer?

Your guess is as good as the next person's.

If you are looking for a hacked or hackable device, perhaps a nice older Palm or a jailbroken iPhone would suit your needs. Or even a nice Motorola phone.

Even if we knew the answer to that, which we don't, we wouldn't tell you as we don't promote or condone that kind of activity.

Unlike the iphone where you have one place, and only one place to download apps for it; the blackberry has many places.
Blackberry App World is NOT the only place to get apps.
Therefore "hacking" it to do something it already does....is um...pointless.

The OP sounds like someone who bought his BlackBerry for it's "social bling" factor. That's always a recipe for disaster. The whining about app prices is the tip-off.

If you can't afford the apps you probably won't be able to afford the phone either.
