Default Bold 9700 e-mail issue

I have a BB bold 9700 running latest software version. Carrier T-Mobile. Here is my problem.

When I send or receive regular e-mails from my desktop computer I get copies of the e-mails and replies on the blackberry. I recently paid a bill as I normally do from the desktop and I keep getting payment confirmation e-mails on the blackberry ONLY. I received one to the desktop as I should, but I keep getting the same e-mail to the phone. If I go out of range of my home wi-fi or shut down it at night, or come back into range of the home wi-fi setup I get the e-mail. I have pulled the battery to no avail.

Help!

The BB gets email from your email server. If you are sending a copy to yourself using "cc" then it goes to the server and ultimately to the BB.

I'm not getting a copy on the desk top e-mail and this e-mail is a "payment confirmed" generated by the company I paid. I'm only getting the repeated reply to the BB.

Are you using a corporate service on a BES?

The e-mail is a normal "do not reply" payment confirmation, probably computer generated.

For the last 2 weeks I've been having the same problem with my 9700. Every time I turn the phone on or lose and reaquire a signal I get this one email. I have deleted it from my gmail inbox & trash and select "delete from mailbox & handheld" every time I get it on my Blackberry. I have also tried the batt. pull to no avail.

My next move is to delete the email acct. from my Blackberry and re-install, but was hoping to find a simpler solution here before I have to go through and delete all the emails I have saved on the server, but don't want on my Blackberry.

If it is the same email being delivered again later even after it has been deleted, then it is one of the sorts of glitches that has been reported by others going back as far as I can remember. I'm having the issue with several emails going on about five days now, and this is the first for me in all these years.

Thanks for all the replies. So it's not just my phone or e-mail. I deleted and re loaded my e-mail account, pulled the battery, both to no avail. I also called my internet provider, they were no help.

Maybe since you guys were/are having the same problem it will clear up on it's own.

If you can log onto your ISP's webmail and delete it from there, i.e. delete on the server, and see if you keep getting it. Once it is deleted its gone, so if it comes back, then it has to have been resent.

What Dubdub says. Delete it from the email inbox and also empty the deleted messages folder. That hasn't made a difference in my case. Also, in my case, I have my BlackBerry set to delete on mailbox and handheld, which is making no difference in this instance.

In my limited understanding of this stuff, I imagine a message still on BIS and somehow appearing to BIS as not pushed yet, and it gets pushed again. I figure when the 30 day limit is reached and BIS purges the message, it will stop, if not before then. But that's all speculation on my part.

Or, maybe somehow the message is still visible in the Inbox as a new message to BIS, even though to you it appears as deleted, and BIS grabs it again and pushes it to the BlackBerry.

Beats the heck out of me. But there's nothing you can do but delete it from the Inbox and from the deleted messages folder, keep deleting on the BlackBerry, and wait.

EDIT: And I have another thought, so long as I'm speculating. As with you, the emails that keep coming back to me are automated emails (alerts, newsletters....). None are person to person, sent by a human. It could be the server generating those emails is resending them, which may be what Dubdub is saying in the post above. But I tend to doubt this is what is going on in my case, as the four or five emails are from different sources.

Thanks for the replies. I have deleted the email from my isp's webamail and the trash, as well as using delete from mailbox & handheld every time it shows up on my phone. My next option was going to be delete the acct from my phone and add it again, but ole Joe said that didn't work either.

The email is from a friend who says they only sent it once. I will ask them tomorrow to delete it from their sent folder. Maybe their isp is re-sending it? Otherwise I'll hope it burns itself out soon.

If it's the same email from the same person maybe your friend has an issue with their email and it's not a BB problem.

I don't know what happened, but when I turned the phone on this morning no recurring email. YEAH!!! Now I hope it lasts.

Fingers crossed.

I was wrong above: Two of the emails I kept getting were messages I had sent myself.

I going down through my email now. Don't know yet if my repeats have stopped or not.
