Default Own number

Is there a way to retrieve my own number on the B-Bold whilst on a call?
Also, is there a shortcut that will allow to display my own number from the main/menu screen when not on a call?

Thanks.

While on a call, press the menu key and select Notes. From there type mynumber and it will show you your number,

To see your number, when not on a call, press the green call key.

You typed the word mynumber and that's what it came back with?

When I'm on a call, my number shows on my screen anyway. You shouldn't have to go into the notes to see it. But the "unknown number" thing is definitely weird.

yeah, same here, my number shows up on my screen automatically while on a call. wouldn't know why it would say unknown number though. Try calling your carrier's support and or go to one of their stores and see maybe if its a network issue.

Got it resolved using the following steps:

options> advanced options> sim card> press menu key, select `edit SIM phone number`, enter phone number and save

That should automatically be done by the carrier when they gave you the sim card.

Not necessarily. It didn't happen for me on several carriers around the world, although most were pre-paid SIMs.

It isn't done on most of the SIMs that come past my desk and they aren't pre-paid SIMs. To check the number when not on a call dial *#100# although I don't know if that is network specific

Definitely doesn't work with AT&T - my guess is this must be carrier specific
