We use BES 4.1.4 and Blackberry Torch handsets.
It is a 'Very' small installation 6 handsets and I am on a continual learning curve when it comes to the administration of the system.

One of the users is trying to use the facebook and twitter app but it appears that the BES server is denying it. Acces to the site is ok but they cannot login.
However, when they swap SIMs to a personal SIM, both apps work ok.

I have noticed in my search that IT policies may be affecting the apps use and it seems that the app needs to 'pushed' from the BES server. Is this the case? If so how do I configure the BES server to allow the user access to Twitter and Facebook.

If I get this working for one the other five will want it. If I get it working for them all . . . . I'll be a superstar!!!

The BBs will get blocked if the BES is blocked since by default the BBs use the BES's internet connection.

there is also an IT policy that by default block contact sharing in facebook.

there is not way to import this new feature into BES express 5.0.2 that I have seen yet.
