Default Bold's new os

Please Login to Remove!

I'm sitting here salivating over the 9000. My question is just how new is the os? Will it be backwards compatable with the current BB os? I'm using the pearl right now but want to get the Bold for the 3g since I tether my laptop a lot.

My main concern is about my Epocrates program which I use daily working as a nurse. Will I have to wait for Epocrates to put out a version for the 9000 or will one of the current versions run on the new os.

I would greatly appreciate any insight that can be shared on this issue.

It will probably be up to the software company to release an update for 9000 OS, 4.6 I believe.

There are always some growing pains with a new OS release. 3rd party applications often have to be ported over or sometimes even rewritten. It's up to the developers of these apps to update them, so depending on how on top of things they are, you may have to wait to use some old favorites with the new OS. Of course it's on a case-by-case basis.

New OS and screen resolution will probably mean you have to wait for them to update it.
