Cool New to BlackBerry

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all, I'm a new BlackBerry user. The Bold 9700 is my very first Blackberry device. So far I am liking how it works, and have been busy trying to set it up.

I did run into an issue with setting up my personal email. When I used the wizard, I only have the option to set up a work or enterprise email account. There is no option to set up personal email.

I have though about using the Google mail app, but would like to try and set up my email through the device.

Thanks for you help.

Do you have a blackberry data plan? If so, resend service books.

To setup email you can go to the setup folder and select personal email setup wizard or you can do it on the carrier bis website. I find it much easier to do it on pc thru the website.

Not if, as the OP states, he/she does not have the option. That's the first problem to be solved.

Ok, I goofed. Even though I had an unlimited data plan with my old phone, it was not a BlackBerry data plan. Had to make the switch in my account and all seems to be working now.

Thanks.
