Ever since I loaded this version, I can't run Gold Thumb Games anymore. It just hangs without even displaying a screen. Even the App Switcher screen gets stuck when I try to switch to it. Eventually the new Resource Monitor gives me the option to kill it.

Sometimes just becasue the OS is new does not mean it works.

Leaks can cause issues. Have you tried a battery pull?
