RIM has most likely released it to the carriers, now the carriers have to complete their testing before it will be released.

The hold up is not always RIM....it's usually the carrier doing testing.

Listen, know one knows the true date when RIM will release 6.0, but you can bet it's going to be soon

Usually some beta releases surface first on many of the BB sites like this 0ne.

Be more specific; will it be the short term future or the long term. Why isn't it out yet?

Nobody can be specific. Every single carrier has to test OS 6 with the devices they provide (9700, 9650 and Pearl 3G) Once tested, once they have proper support, THEN they will release it.

Rogers doesn't even have a firm date on the 9800 other than "in the coming weeks"

I would suggest that OS 6 is probably coming in Sept, maybe even Oct.

One carrier will have it first, so we'll just wait and see who it is.

I for one cannot wait, this will be a very nice upgrade.

You don't transfer to the BB, you load from the PC via desktop manager.
An Os cannot be transfered to the blackberry to load.
