Default Weather app?

Does anyone have a free weather application that they would recommend? Something that shows current conditions and forecasts?

WeatherBug Direct for BlackBerry live local weather plus live temperature and local forecasts direct to your BlackBerry

Great application and one click to the WBug website.

Also I read somewhere that they have a version for the Storm although I cannot confirm this.

Been using WeatherBug for a long time now, it's very customizable and very pretty detailed to. Other alternatives are would be WeatherEye, or a bookmark to weather underground. I prefer WeatherBug for the weather alerts/homescreen icons/etc

I just got my first blackberry this week and downloaded Weather Eye and it is pretty slick. I downloaded WeatherbugDirect earlier and have to say WeatherEye is much cooler looking and much easier to pull up short-term and long-term forecasts (press menu button and then scroll left and right). It is definitely the one you'd rather have on your phone if you were showing it off to someone. Not that that should make a big difference or anything, but its there nonetheless.

You can download it by going to mobile.blackberry.com from your BB and scrolling down to weather. Its the first app listed.

I really think your are going to need a data plan for any Weather app to work since the weather updates going to you device will most likely really ring your bill up.

I am a diehard WB Direct and BB Weather fan, I use them side by side. I also use Accuweather Animated radar as my browser homepage so I can use my browser shortcut "b" for instant radar access.

Since I'm a weather fanatic I had been eyeing eMobile's Weather app and since I Handango is having a 25% off sale thru midnight CST. I decided to grab it earlier this evening. I must say I am quite impressed with it, very nice interface, weather conditions icon (changes) and it supports multiple cities, I have 14 configured (worldwide) and it hasn't hiccuped yet. I do wish it also had the temperature intigrated with the icon. It has accuweather radar but I wish it was animated, and I also wish it had more than a 5 day forecast. It's a beautiful app though, it really reminds me of the iphone weather app only with more details than the iphone app. The 25% discount makes it a one-time (no subscription) $11.96. Not free but it really is a decent application. e-Mobile Weather : Sprint BlackBerry Curve 8330 : Handango

Enter code: 25NOW for the discount.

Your profile caught my attention as a "talking blackberry encyclopedia" so Im hoping you can help me with something. I purchased a new BB Curve 8330 on Dec 16 and the current op version on it by Sprint is 4.3.0.127 . I just visited the Sprint Support Center, and it has 2 downloades for 2 upgrades, one for a op version of 4.3.0.198 and the other for 4.3.0.203 . Should I upgrade to both these downloads? Or not do it and just wait for the 4.5 ? Any help would be appreciated.

check the sticky for the latest os on the 8330. You can use an os from any carrier, as long as it's specifically for your 8330. Instructions are included in the sticky.

Oh, and thread hijacking isn't a good habit. Just start a new thread if you have a new question, or better yet, do a search first to see if your question has already been answered. Hope this doesn't sound like a scolding. Just making you aware. Welcome to BBF!

Here's the 8330 OS sticky:
