Track Ball WILL NOT GO LEFT! helP!!
Please Login to Remove!
Hello everyone! ive been lurking these forums for quite some time now,
and recently i have run into the problem with my trackball, it hates me, and will not go left!
I have cleaned it
I have even gone to the extent of replacing it. still will not work, oddly enough, when i switch the ball socket around, the left side will work, but the right will not.
is this a mainboard problem?
should i send it in for repair? or is it simple, and can i fix it.
Thank you for your time!

just keep playing with it and it will "unstick" itself.

Wirelessly posted (9530; .108 MF231)
See my link below to Horizon and get a new trackball assembly. Easy to replace.

Do you carry it in your pocket? That is number 1 culprit. Dirt and lint from your pocket can block the contacts in the ball socket.
Turn the device off. Press and roll the ball in the direction that it doesn't work. Then, continuing to press, roll in all directions for a minute or so. Turn the device back on and it should work, if it isn't a hardware issue.
Get a pouch and use it!

Had that problem and fixed it by:
1) Powered the Bold off.
2) Opened an alcohol prep pad (used before giving shots to wipe the skin off).
3) Used the moist alcohol prep pad to rub the trackball for about 30 ~ 45 seconds in random directions.
4) Power my Bold up after a couple of minutes (drying time) and it worked in every direction!
Good luck

It is not the ball that sticks, it is the things the ball makes contact with that make it stick.

Alright,
well i think you guys were right!
it has to be something to due with a dirty trackball,
I reinstalled my orginall one, did the push down and move it around trick, and it works! still needs some cleaning,
the new ball i bought i notice was for a curve, could this be the reason why it didn't work right?
