Default Broken LCD after 4 days

they claim it is physical damage, no coverage. It was not handled roughly and was always in the protective case. $500 phone lasts 4 days nice they back up their product anybody with similar experience

Is the actual LCD broken? All BlackBerry devices (except maybe Storm/Storm2) have a plastic "lens" that is actually part of the case. My kids have broken 3 or 4 of the lenses, but never the actual LCD. Replacements from HorizonWireless.com or cnn.cn for about $20-25 shipped.

Regardless of how it happened, anything other than electronic hardware failure is generally classified "abuse" and not covered by warranty.

I just go to my local dealer, she orders, I pay $50 on my next phone bill.

There is a huge difference between a device warranty and insurance.

Insurance generally is done via a 3rd party to the tune of about $5/month plus a deductible when you use it to replace the device. You must "opt in" for insurance, and typically can only make one claim per year.

Warranty, which is typically for 12 months and is included in the cost of the device and is provided by the manufacturer, covers only manufacturing defects.

I find it hard to believe that a screen just "broke."
I have owned several models of Blackberry, and have dropped them all. I have only damaged the plastic cover on my 8703. None of the others have broken.
How did this happen?
