Default Still no OWA?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I have my BES on version 4, SP3. I have 7250's and 7130's here onsite. I have OWA setup with SSL. My certificate is from Verisign. When I browse to the site I get an error:

The returned page had no content type, and therefore cannot be processed.

I think it because the certificate is not installed on the Blackberry. How can I get a third party cert on the BB?

Just curious, why would you want to check your email via OWA when you have a BES?

People here think of it as a backup, not to mention they just want it to work...

What is that you have on the handheld TLS setting? Is it Proxy or Handheld.

If u have proxy it does not work.. Select Handheld... Ensure tgat Client Authentication.. Prompt for certification to yes.....

To got to TLS setting ... Click options on handheld---- then TLS...

Hope this works....

Content type is specified in the headers returned by the webserver. Why is not returning text/html?

What version of exchange are you running?

Try using Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) instead of OWA. If you already have OWA running, it's just a couple more config items FWIR.

Instead of going to

go to

Try it. It ought to work.

To add a cert to the BES:

This info can be found in the Admin Guide. Although I am not sure it will help.

1.Copy the certificate from a secure web site to a .cer file.
2.Copy the certificate file into the j2re1.4.2\lib\security folder on the computer on which the Mobile Data Service is installed.
3.Import the certificate into the key store using the keytool, which is installed in the JRE bin folder, (typically, <drive:>\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin). For example, type keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias <alias_name> -file <cert_filename> -keystore cacerts.
4.Type the key store password.
5.At the Trust this certificate prompt, click Yes. The certificate is added to the key store.
Visit http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/...s/keytool.html for more information on using the keytool.
