Default How to update contacts via PC instead of phone

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know how to update my contacts via my laptop instead of editing them on my 9700? Just got the phone a few days ago and learning about it so complete newbie.

Thanks

Best way is to sync with Microsoft Outlook, if you have it and do the editing there.

Other ways are syncing with a Yahoo account, or with a Gmail account. With a Gmail account, it can be done over the air if you have a BB data plan by using Google Sync.

Gmail also calendar syncs over the air.

m.google.com from the phone to install that.

You should be able to do it from your providers BIS site too. With Tmo you can do this with any phone, not just a BB.

Does this work for you? All it does whenever I have tried it is send the contact to the phone, but it does not retain the contact online and then does not download anything off the phone.

Wirelessly posted

If you have DM set to two-way sync it wouldn't matter which device they are edited or created on.
