It does do it. I just never paid attention, i'm constantly on my phone and bluetooth.

It makes a beep, as long as that notification is set. You'd have to edit your profile, for each alert, there is something called "notify during calls?"

So to answer your question, yes it does do it. Guess I never paid attention cause the point of having bluetooth is to be handsfree, so normally the phone isnt on me and I don't bother looking at my phone to see who texted me while I'm on a call. I have only text and emails set to notify during calls, if I had any IMs turned on to notify, I would never want to have a phone conversation again.

Even though i'm partially to blame for thread crapping/ jacking, next time create a new thread to answer your question if it was that important to you.

I tried that and it works if im in call but it doesn't work if I just have the headset on. Any ideas on how to do that?

Same for me, I think the phone is just not able to do it which was very poor planning on BB's part.

So, since NO ONE ELSE besides JSanders is willing to step up to the plate and try this headset out, I went ahead and ordered one from Amazon tonight. Once it gets here, I'll put it through its paces with my BlackBerry 8900 on xxx9642;Txxx9642; xxx9642; xxx9642;Mobilexxx9642; and then I'll share my thoughts on it.

But I still can't believe none of you tried this out yet. Absolutely pathetic!
