Default Moving BES database onto SQL

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

Currently Im running BES 5.0.3 on its own server, with local database and services. Addition to this, im running a clustered 2010 exchange environment.

Im hoping to move the BES database onto a SQL platform at our central location, SQL versions being either 2005 or 2008 r2.

Is this possible and would there be an potential issues that would make this task avoidable?

What the best place to find resources/how-to-guide to do this?

Many thanks

Ive followed the guide, but for some reason when i start up the Blackberry Server Configuration, the database is still pointing at the previous local DB and i do not have the 'change database' button to change this.

Config has been changed to reflect the new sql connection string but this is not being reflected in the configuration console.

Any ideas?

Old thread, but in case anybody ever comes across this, that KB article is not applicable to BESx 5. There is a new article here: KB18129-How to change the BlackBerry Configuration Database in BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0
