Default 2 Bluetooth Icons on T-Mobile 7290 mystery (see pics)???

Please Login to Remove!

So I've had trouble with the dissapearing BT icon on my 7290. T-mobile tech told me that the Large Icon is not supposed to even be there (see picture below).
There should only be the tiny icon next to the signal "gprs" bars on the far right top corner of the screen.
Anyway my phone has it. The tech help's phone didn't have the large icon nor did the customer rep's 7290 in the store had the large icon.

What's up with this does anyone has the large BT icon on their T-Mobile 7290? Or is my BB the chosen one?

it has it if you have something paired to your device and the bluetooth is on.

No that is an old picture of when I first took my BB 7290 out of the box.
As of three days ago I no longer have the big icon. the small icon is there in the corner but I doesnt link BT from my device to anything. It freezes at the prompt that asks you to enter passkey.

Tech support told me that 7290s do not have that big icon you see on my BB7290 in the above picture. They are like it's not even suppose to be there to begin with. When I'm arguing that I used to have it (as in the pictures).

Anyway...does anyone else with the same T-Mobile 7290BB have this large BlueTooth Icon on their home screen?

I am not on TMo but on Verizon, I have both icons but I also do have a paired bluetooth headset. If I unpair it, the icon will disappear. (Actually hide itself).

Yes, both icons should be there. The large icon allows you to quickly and temporarily disable Bluetooth when you have a device paired. It's useful if you are trying to conserve battery life or need to temporarily disable a Bluetooth connection. the small icon is really just an indicator to let you know that Bluetooth is active. Unpairing will remove the large icon as stated above. Think of the large icon as basically the same as Turn Wireless On/Off.

This is just to confirm info from the posts above. . . BB7290 on TMo will not show BT icon if no device is paired. Once paired, BT icon will appear and will have ON /Off options.

Default I've got it

I have the same Bluetooth icon on mine. Its not a problem to me. Actually, I like the fact I don't have to go through Options to get to it.
