For some reason Enterprise Activation did not go through after the upgrade. Google activation did not go through either.

OK, I installed this OS overnight. Boot time is a fraction of what it used to be.
However, I'm running into a problem playing media files. Every time I try to open any media file - audio or video - I get an "Unable to load content" error. I remember hitting this issue on an earlier OS version as well (can't remember which version though).
Is there a fix, or am I stuck using other media devices as a workaround (or rolling back to .593)?

Are you using Ubertwitter? What third party apps do you have loaded that could be different?

Nope, no twitter clients at all.
I've got a raft of third-party apps installed, and I haven't had any problems on .593. I found my older posts about the same problem - it was with .566.
You know, I have not tried the old battery pull - I've just done keyboard resets. I'll give that a whirl and see if it helps.
I don't know why I always forget that simple option. I'll report back in a few.

Plug into a PC and use mass storage mode.
Delte all .dat files in video and pic areas
disconnect phone and let it rebuild the list.
Mine took a while to rebuild.

No dice.
I remember there was a similar issue with 4.5 on my 8800, had to remove dat files or reformat the card.
Even after rebuilding the dat files I still get the same errors.
I can view and take pics, I can record voice notes. I cannot play music, ringtones, or videos. Very strange. I'll have to double-check whether I removed a critical cod file from the java folder, but I'm always very careful about those...

I noticed EA was verrrrrry slow on this build. It did eventually finish but was stuck at 93% for over 2 hours.

I have your same exact problem and i am also careful into what .cod files i can delete to shrink the OS. What im thinking is just loading the entire OS except games .cod's.
Ill see what i can find, thanks for your informative post.

I tried replacing any medialoader related cod files I had removed - basically the sample video and sample wallpapers - and I still can't open mp3s or videos.
Interestingly, the App World icon did not show up after the OS install. That didn't surprise me, since it is a common issue.
But after reinstalling App World, running it, and even installing something from it, the icon disappeared again after a battery pull. Seems like something just isn't sticking.
I don't have any way of checking current file associations, so I'm not sure if that's the problem, but the device is certainly acting like it. I've tinkered a little with module permissions to see whether that could be the cause, but no success yet.
Quite honestly, I've just installed xPlayer as a workaround. Sigh. The quest continues...

WOW, crazy that you had to install a third party replacement app, sorry to hear that.
I'm still trying different kinds of combination. Just for kicks, ill even try loading the other .680 variants from GeoCell, etisalat and Zain Jordan.
Good Luck.

After the upgrade I could not sync the calendar from Outlook 2003, while contacts, tasks and note were fine. It was very complicated to resolve this issue and I tried so many things that I am not sure what eventually got it working.
