Not sure if this goes here or in the Beta forum. Not even sure if it's a beta or the original device software. I'll let the mods figure all that out.

Source is BBHybrids

Wait for somebody to get it and post on a real site though. This guy's server is hammered and it's probably going to crash before anybody actually finished the DL.

Bosen's Blackberry Resources, All Blackberry OS Download, BBSAK, JLCmder, CrackMem, Desktop Manager

update: Some are now saying this was either a bad upload or it's fake. Anyway, it doesn't seem anybody has actually finished a download of it but I'm just passing that along.

9780 isn't even released yet, is it? I haven't seen an "official" announcement anyway.

Does anyone think it would be advisable to load 6.0 for 9780 on a 9700? AND If it doesn't work, does anyone think the OS can be downgraded to the original OS? Thanks!

I know from experience. The java files will load to the device, but they will not run correctly without extreme modification with 5.0 files. Also the platform version from 5.0 is not compatible with the required platform for 6.0

I loaded it to the phone. I renamed the 9700 Java folder and replaced it with the 9780. I then copied the net_rim_crypto_1 & net_rim_crypto_2 & net_rim_crypto_3 files from 9700 Java folder to the 9780 folder. It then loads to the phone and after that you get the APP Error 200. So I just wiped and went back to the latest 9700 Driphter v7

So, it doesn't work on a 9700. End of story before too many people (who forgot to do a backup) try it. YOU CAN'T LOAD THE 9780 SOFTWARE ONTO A 9700.

Repeat that before trying it.
