I am very happy with my current .69. Is there any info or feedback on what has been changed/updated/fixed in this build?

.77 for CDMA seems available on the net. I have seen a few ppl talking about installing it in CB forums. But no sign on .76 for GSM.

EDIT - Saw similary threads here as well. So.. I gues .77 is out in the wild.

Guess the Verizon/Sprint folks must be more porous leakers than the AT&T/T-Mobile folks, darn it! .77 readily available, but no sign yet of either .76 or the newer .78 in the wild yet.

DF, it just really depends on where the version is being released at. The leaks you see (such as .77) have been from partners rather than the ones released internally at RIM (the latest slew of GSM releases).

I love how this thread started with a copy/paste from a CB.com thread (that had content taken from my sticky thread on here). I made the change last night and CB.com updated their post within 30 mins. Atleast we're being watched.. LOL!

Are you saying that .76 and .78 GSM (and now .79) have only been released internally at RIM, not to partners yet, while .77 CDMA has been released to partners? If so, then that makes perfect sense why .77 is out and the others are not.

If that's the case, why is RIM releasing betas quicker to partners on the CDMA side of the house, vs. GSM?

Yep, that appears to be the case As for why, I ask "Why not?"

This explains why I can't find it...

Ok, so did we EVER get an official release date on the 4.5 OS from RIM? Last I heard it was going to be "sometime in September", and it had already been pushed out multiple times before then. Any ideas on general release?

I just purchsed a 8310 and would like to upgrade the os to the most current beta release before I set it up. I tried .69 but am not sure where to find the XML vendor file to delete it. I downloaded .69 and ran the program. Can someone help me out. Thanks!

C:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\ResearchInMotion\Applo ader\ and the Vendor XML file will be on the right at the bottom. Then plug in device, Open DM, and it should prompt you to update. Also make sure to backup before attempting the upgrade.

yes you'll have to pull the battery after you upgrade or your phone will smell like tuna (just kidding).

But seriously... if you use BIS email with it, resend your service books and then do a battery pull afterwords. If you're using BES, pester your admins to upgrade to 4.1.6
