Needed a new password to hop on BES for .85 didn't need one for .83 which I find strange.....

Other then that I really don't notice much of a difference.

I can't get it downloaded, RapidShare seems unusually slow, have had to restart the download 2 times, once I was at 120 of 125 Megs! I see there is a torrent version, not a fan of torrent, so I guess I'll just keep trying unless someone else wants to host it

Only thing strange would be that you didn't connect to your email profile when performing the upgrade.

It's been over 2 hours and have not had any issue yet and one thing that I noticed compared to the .83 is that the phone did not freeze and stuck on Verizon Logo.

Works fine if you install the generic service books then re-register the 9530

I am also liking it. I was very happy with .83 so it will take a few days to see if I notice anything.

I agree, .83 limited my reception indoors versus .75 and yea all the lock ups and bull that came with .83 were worth it because of all the other improvements like speeding up the communication between the uSD card and the phone, the browser, etc...but .85 is sooo much better...it is .83 on steroids...worth the upgrade...certianly worth the time...

Exclamation .85

.83 was not stable. I stressed it with 3 IM's running in the background + weather + facebook +streaming music paused and would watch a movie at work and so forth. Got the app error once, splash screen kept freezing on some bootups.

.76 is stable. it's a bit slow, but it's stable. if .85 is stable, then we're set.

.83's camera was better than.76's as well. I hope .85 is stable!

Exclamation errors

Froze twice, got app error 503 once. on low battery power. I didn't flash it on 100% battery, that might have something to do with it.

I'm noticing more power usage. less battery life, more heat. WAY faster performance though, a lot faster!

I installed it lastnight... and the phone seems good. I never had any of the issues that everyone else had though so it seems the same to me. I don't notice a difference in the camera either...

Works much better than .83.

I did a wipe first and then installed .85. Free memory is about 55MB.
