Default BES Domino 4.0 upgrade to 4.1.6 MR1

Please Login to Remove!

On Friday we are upgrading our BES Domino 4.0 to 4.1.6. Is there a 4.1 installation package that already has SP6 integrated into it? Right now it looks like we'll need to upgrade to 4.1, then upgrade to 4.1.6 then apply the MR1. It would be great to reduce those steps by at least one.

Also, does anyone have experience running BES on a Microsoft cluster? Just wanted to get some tips on upgrading BES on each cluster node.

Thanks.

I would bet that when you buy 4.1 upgrade it should include SP6. I downloaded the trial version and it was on 4.1.6.(needed remote manager)
If not SP6 did go fairly fast.

be careful - depending on what level of 4.0 you're upgrading from you may have to go in stages rather than straight to 4.1.6. There's a technote I think. As for MR1, MR2 is imminent so you may want to check the release notes to see whether MR1 issues would warrant going with MR2.

I would concur with this. It might be best to get the latest 4.0.x version from RIM, upgrade your BES that version as an interim, then finally upgrade to 4.1.x. This is what RIM would probably suggest, and they have lots of experience.
