It has become official. All my friends and work associates have gone to the iphone. Gone are the PIN and BBM conversations. However, it's nice to know that this great forum is available so that people like me can come here and get wonderful advice and tips about my BB. It's nice to know that not everyone has gone iphone crazy.
Thanks for being here people!

The iPhone is a toy in my opinion. The hype and the crazy will die down soon and then there will be nothing. Here in Jamaica, the iPhone is a joke, very few persons have it and the only carrier that has it does not even advertise that they do. Most persons here have BlackBerry smartphones and they love them. BlackBerry smartphones are so prevalent here that our local DJs and Reggae artistes have penned about 4 songs that I have heard. The local carriers don't see much value in the iPhone here in Jamaica as the population is much more interested in the BlackBerry and all its features and benefits. No one advertises the iPhone and its even hard to get a data plan for it.

No need to fear my friends. I enjoy my Bold, it serves me well. I have no need to keep up with the social trend of owning an iphone or any other device. I will stick with what works best for me!

Many years ago, I dated a lady who voiced the same beef-I pointed out the reall cool feature that helps you manage that: the power-off button.

Eventually the Hype will stop... Their's only so many "wow" moments people can have before they stop being interested

LOL, its the other way around in my group, we only have 1 guy with an iPhone, his girlfriend had one that he bought for her, but all her friends had BlackBerry and she felt isolated, so she got herself a BlackBerry and now she hardly uses the iPhone. Boyfriend not too happy, but now she doesn't feel so isolated when all her friends pull out their BlackBerry and start chatting or checking messages. She can whip her's out too.
BLACKBERRY RULE!

Funny thing is, today had some realy funny pictures that I wanted to send to a few friends. Unfortunately I had to call and tell about the experience because their iphones will not accept a MMS. Too bad for now, but apperantly iphone 3.0 will be MMS compatible.

That will be delayed on AT&T. The "opt out MMS" code has to be manually deleted from each user account before the feature rolls out.

And if your friends had their BlackBerry, then you could have sent them those pictures via the BlackBerry Messenger.
Well yet another benefit of the BlackBerry. My girlfriend and I are BlackBerry addicts and loving it. She more than I, but its all good.

My wife has an iPhone. She's a dilettante and has no serious communications needs so a toy is perfect for her. Something to amuse her while waiting for an appointment, etc. I get a dose schadenfreude when she asks me, "How do I send a picture message to my friends who don't have email?", or "How do I copy this and send it by email?". I usually give a little snicker as I say, "Sorry babe. Your iPhone can't do that." Really chaps her ass good! My attitude is even more annoying to her than the missing features.

iPhone for living
BlackBerry for work.
I work to live not the other way around. The iPhone can do everything in this post with a couple Clicks in QuickPwn.
Begin the flame fest... ;)
