A week ago, my earpiece just suddenly cut out on phone calls. The other end can hear me (mouthpiece works), but I can't here anyone. My speakerphone function works fine, so that's what I've been using to hear my phone calls, but you can imagine how annoying that is to have to use on each phone call... no privacy/intrusive... I checked the obvious, and my phone volume (earpiece) is maxed... I've upgraded my OS to 6, it was working fine until recently. Although now when trying to use my phone with earpiece function, I notice what looks like a little 'EQ' symbol next to the speaker/volume symbols on top right area of screen, but not when on speaker phone, what is that?

Before I head to a repair shop here in Toronto (Ming) I want to check and see if anyone else has had this issue, and if so, if there was a different solution to just heading to the shop and have them look at it?

The EQ icon is enhanced audio. If this is set to "previous" or "normal" you shouldn't see that icon. At least for OS5 that's how it is.

I have the same problem. Mine stopped working 2 days ago. It started as if I was in a poor coverage area, it would cut in and out while the other person was talking and then it just stopped working all together.

To the OP, did you drop the device or get it wet?

What troubleshooting have you done - battery pull maybe?

I've tried many battery pulls on mine leaving it out for up to 5 minutes and still having the same issue. I got around everyone hearing my calls by using a set of earbuds. It keeps the privacy issue down at least.

My response was directed to the original poster, not A320Mech. It is considered bad manners to hijack another user's thread, but you do have a similar problem.

Using the earbuds is one solution and a "quick fix".

However, we need to also respond to the one who posed the question originally.
