Default BB 9630 sync problem

Please Login to Remove!

The first time I connect my BB 9630 to my PC, "Connected - BlackBerry Desktop Manager" displays at the top of the Decktop Manager page, and I can sync the BB with the PC just fine. When I disconnect the BB from the PC, the display changes to "Disconnected - BlackBerry Desktop Manager," as would be expected. However, when I reconnect the BB to the PC, the display remains "Disconnected....." and I cannot sync. I have to restart my PC to regain the "Connected....." display, and achieve sync.

Any ideas?

What happens if you close Desktop Manager, connect the BB, and start it? Does it remain disconnected or is it recognized then?

What version of DM are you running?

How is DM configured for connecting and syncing?

I'm running 5.0.1 I unloaded and reloaded it today to no avail. I have the Desktop Manager configured for USB sync, and am using the recommended default folder for storing configuration data. Is that what what you meant concerning the DM congifuration? Thanks for your reply.
